Script not seeing its own changes?

    When I use setblock(), and then getBlock() on that same location, it returns what used to be there rather than what I just set it to. Is there a way to refresh the edit session so the script sees the new changes? I used to get around this by using blocks.disableQueue(), but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

    Minecraft: 1.8.9
    Spigot: git-Spigot-5f38d38-18fbb24 (MC: 1.8.8)
