So, I'm helping someone build up their server and I would like to extend the __global__ region. What would be an ideal size for the server? Also, I could use some help with allowing people to build when they are a certain spot away from spawn.

__global__ covers the whole world. It cannot be adjusted in size.

Could it be re-added if I accidentally removed it?

You cannot really remove it, but it's only listed in the regions.yml if you change it. Don't edit the file directly (unless you're doing batch changes, I guess). Just use commands.

so either way the entire world is protected?

No, the __global__ region requires a owner/member to enable protection. Other regions only require that they be created to protect from non-members.

ah I see. but my overall question is, if __global__ WAS removed, would you have to reinstall worldguard to get it back or no?

Like I said, you can't remove it. It's always there whether it's listed in regions.yml or not.
